An electromyogram (EMG) and nerve conduction study (NCS) help evaluate how your muscles and nerves are working. These tests measure the electrical activity in your muscles and how well your nerves send signals. If you’re experiencing pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness, an EMG and NCS can help identify whether the problem is related to your muscles, nerves, or spine.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a safe, non-invasive imaging test that uses a powerful magnet and radio waves to create detailed images of the inside of your body. Your MRI will be interpreted by Gulf Coast Radiology, LLC, and your physician will review the results with you to determine the best treatment plan.
TOC’s MRI Department is located in Suite 300 at 3334 Capital Medical Boulevard, with an entrance shared with our Physical Therapy department under the gray awning on the far-left side of the building.
For MRI questions, call 850.219.1940 or email mri@teamtoc.com.
X-rays are a quick, safe, and commonly used imaging test that helps your physician see bones and other structures inside the body. They can help diagnose fractures, joint problems, and other conditions, allowing your physician to make an accurate diagnosis and recommend the most appropriate treatment.
