Doug Henderson and Tom Haney, TOC emerged as the pioneering orthopedic practice in North Florida, driven by a shared vision to establish a premier sports medicine clinic in Florida’s capital city. With Centers of Excellence and urgent care clinics in Florida and Georgia, TOC ensures comprehensive treatment and accessibility for our patients, supported by a team of over 400 dedicated professionals.   • Dr. Doug Henderson and Dr. Tom Haney meet during their residency at Emory Orthopedic Residency Program in Atlanta.
  • Both physicians share a desire to establish a sports medicine-focused orthopedic practice in Tallahassee, due to their connections to the area.
  • Dr. Henderson begins practicing in Tallahassee in 1974, followed by Dr. Tom Haney in 1975.
  • They become the team physicians for Florida State University (FSU) and Florida A&M University (FAMU), filling a gap as previous team physicians had different specialties.
