Dr. Garrison Anthony Rolle joined Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic (TOC) in 1997 and is a highly accomplished sports medicine surgeon with a distinguished career in the field. With expertise in orthopedic surgery and a specialization in sports-related injuries, he has made significant contributions to the healthcare community. Dr. Rolle’s dedication to his profession and commitment to excellence have earned him a reputation as a respected medical practitioner.
Dr. Rolle’s journey began at Miami Carol City Senior High in Miami, Florida, where he completed his high school education from 1977 to 1980. He excelled academically, earning the honor of Salutatorian, and was a proud member of the National Honor Society. His outstanding achievements led to his induction into the Miami Carol City Senior High Hall of Fame.
Continuing his academic pursuits, Dr. Rolle attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1980 to 1981 as an undergraduate student. He then transferred to the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he completed his undergraduate studies from 1981 to 1985.
Dr. Rolle’s passion for medicine led him to pursue his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville from 1985 to 1990. He continued his training with a residency at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana, from 1990 to 1995, specializing in orthopedic surgery.
To further enhance his skills and expertise, Dr. Rolle completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Florida from 1995 to 1996. This additional training allowed him to focus on the specific needs of athletes and provided him with advanced techniques in sports-related injury management.
Throughout his educational journey, Dr. Rolle has been consistently recognized for his exceptional academic performance and contributions to the community. During his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, Dr. Rolle was a member of the esteemed Blue Key Honor Society. He received the distinguished honor of being named a ROTC Distinguished Military Student. Furthermore, his exceptional academic and athletic achievements made him a Rhodes Scholar Candidate and an Academic All American. He was also awarded the Scholar Athlete of the Year at the University of Florida.
Dr. Rolle’s passion for sports extended beyond the classroom, as he actively participated in various athletic activities. In high school, he excelled in football, basketball, and track, earning a track letterman in 1979.
During his undergraduate years at the United States Military Academy at West Point and later at the University of Florida, Dr. Rolle continued his involvement in football as a member of the varsity teams. Additionally, he dedicated his time to the UF Army ROTC and was a part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In 1981, he joined the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., adding to his vibrant campus life.
Dr. Rolle’s professional career has been marked by his dedication to providing exceptional care to his patients. He has been an esteemed member of various professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the National Medical Association, the Capital Medical Society, and the William Gunn Medical Society. His certifications from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons further validate his expertise and commitment to maintaining the highest standards in his field.
